This might not work in all situations, but you could always use a separate email address to sign up for Fusion. However, I do have a good workaround in mind that I thought of. Due to the way our systems work, there is no way to “mix and match” with an educational license and commercial (including start-up). It turns out that you either have to remove all student entitlements associated with your Autodesk account (any product assigned to that email address) and then sign up as a Start up with Fusion, or to leave it as education – although if Fusion is used commercially under this entitlement it will violate the terms of that contract. Sorry for the late response! It took me a while to find out all the information regarding this. Speaking of licenses, the main reason people (including me) considering moving from Student to Startup License could be the significant difference in commercial use of sofrware.
